The Pucara bull has a magical - religious significance. It is made with a hole on the top of its back. The body is used to hold oil which is burnt as an offering to the ancient Inca Gods. The Andean people were amazed at the powerful fighting bull brought from Spain by the Conquistadors, and it became a favorite theme for their religious rites. Today, the bull is given as a wedding present with the hole being stuffed with money.
